My brother-in-law and wife lost their home to fire


In the predawn hours Saturday.

A transformer outside the house blew and caught the house on fire. They made it out with their dog, but could save no items. They lost everything.

Sadly, this is the second time that house has been destroyed. Long-time Loungers May remember when the storm surge from Hurricane Katrina rolled through and over the house, leaving a structural shell behind. They rebuilt it from that shell and now this.

They live in Gautier, Mississippi where the Pascagoula River meets the Gulf.
